Hello there. So we have another pistol from Turkey, the Stoeger STR 9, actually the pistol shown in the photo above is the compact version, STR9C. I still haven’t got it in my hands, so a review will come later. But for now a few preliminary thoughts:
It is a striker fired handgun chambered in 9×19 mm, with safe action trigger, polymer frame, metal slide, stainless steel shiny mags, extra backstraps, changeable mag release, checkered grips, picatinny rails. But the most outstanding feature is its resemblance to the Walther PDP!!! I mean just see the aggressive serrations on the slide! Phew! The slide release is a little small though. Plus the mag release has a different shape.

Anyways, the international reviews about the Stoeger STR9 are good. It is selling in the Rs 170k plus range. Let’s hope the price comes down a little with more imports. Not a bad handgun, though. Stay safe!
