Canik TP9 Sub Elite video review

Hi! I got a chance to take this beauty to the range few days ago. The target was five metallic plates, each with a diameter of around 6 inches placed at 20 meters. There was slight pre-travel in the trigger. The gun shoots excellent out of the box.
I was able to hit 5 metallic plates in 7 shots. Two missed, but considering the fact that it’s a new pistol the performance isn’t bad. I am definitely beginning to like this handgun. Please see the video. Cheers
Hi there. Here’s a review of the Stoeger STR9 striker fired 9 mm pistol. For now I am experimenting with video reviews, I know, I know, I am quite imperfect, but please bear with me 🙂 For now please see the review. Cheers!
P.S. Pics at the end of post.
Hello there. So we have another pistol from Turkey, the Stoeger STR 9, actually the pistol shown in the photo above is the compact version, STR9C. I still haven’t got it in my hands, so a review will come later. But for now a few preliminary thoughts:
Hello there! Sometime back I wrote about the PX9, very briefly though, and about the latest imports in Pakistan. I got a few messages asking for a more detailed review of the handgun. So I was able to lay my hands on an NIB piece. Boy am I impressed? This handgun has amazed me. The piece being reviewed is chambered in 9×19 mm. It is a Tisas PX9, 18 shot, striker fired, manual safety pistol.
Hello. I found this 12 Gauge pump action shot gun to be very interesting. Interesting because of its name, Tokarev. For those who aren’t aware Tokarev is the name of famous Russian WW2 pistol chambered in.30 bore. These fearsome 30 bore pistols were and are still known to have great stopping power. In fact the 30 bore is a very potent round.
Continue reading A Turkish Tokarev in 12 Gauge! The Tisas Zigana PX9 arrived few weeks ago. It is a polymer frame, striker fired, 9 mm pistol. Zigana has been known to make good quality pistols, in a budget. Sadly the previous models were copied by the Darra and Kohat road weapons manufacturers. There was one particular model with select fire option that became very popular. I have seen gun makers putting them together, firing them in full auto and showing them off. I guess with the shape change it will take them quite sometime to copy the new model.
Got to take a closer look at the Canik TP9 Elite Sub-compact few days back. These guns have hit our shores quite recently, one of the first imports here. Canik has been known to make good quality weapons. The Canik TP9 has an impressive line up, but the gun being reviewed is the sub-compact 9 mm. Before the detailed review let me please say that this handgun gets full marks as far as looks are concerned.
Hello. So I got these few photos of a Beretta 92FS which some rumors say is a joint collaboration between Girsan Turkey and Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah. Sure enough last time it was Sarsilmaz that exported lots of 9×19 mm pistols with POF logo, the Sarsilmaz B6 and ST9. These were hugely popular and there were rumors that POF wanted to make these here. But it didn’t work it for whatever reasons. Now it seems the same story is being repeated with Girsan. How is getting a Turkish pistol with POF logo going to help the local industry? I don’t know. To me this seems like a cheap marketing gimmick, unless POF actually sets up a plant here and makes these pistols. There’s no word as yet about what exactly is the product line up except for a few Beretta 92 FS photos. And if its only a 92 FS then I am a loss to understand POF’s fascination with Beretta 92FS. Do you guys remember the PK9 a local (pathetic) Beretta 92 FS copy that POF launched and was a miserable performer? Well then now you’re going to have another 92FS with POF logo. Both the POF as well as Wah Industries Limited websites are silent about the issue as of now.
Hello. Hope the going is good for you guys. Some Chinese and Turkish pistols have arrived. The prices are kind of crazy. I’m sharing few photos. These are Canik pistols. The shape has changed a lot. Also I have seen accessories like kydex holsters being added which is good. A changed shape is good for buyers as a lot of pistols are being copied in Peshawar and it is at times difficult to make out original from copy. Also included in some pistols is a threaded barrel. Detailed reviews will come later. Prices are like Rs. 180K for Canik.
