Taurus G3C lands in Pakistan

Hello there! Couple of weeks ago I wrote about new imports coming in to Pakistan. So here we have now Taurus G3C, which is the compact version of the Taurus line up of striker fired handguns. It has  polymer frame, and metal alloy steel slide. I have been desperately looking for a good compact in the 9×19 mm category and besides the Canik TP9 sub-compact this might as well be a good option. Though I must frankly admit Taurus handguns aren’t very popular in Pakistan.

  • Caliber: 9 x 19 mm
  • Length: 6.3 inches
  • Height: 5.2 inches
  • Width: 1.2 inches
  • Barrel length: 3.2 inches
  • Weight: 620 grams
  • Safety: Manual, trigger and firing pin block
  • Sights: Fixed three dot system (Rear is drift adjustable)
  • Magazine capacity: 12 + 1, or 10 + 1 (comes with 3 mags)

  • Loaded chamber indicator
  • Front and rear slide serrations
  • Manual safety
  • Striker fired
  • 3 magazines included
  • Mag speed loader included

Final Words: I think this is a good package, just see the features, compact handgun, sleek, 3 mags, good safety mechanism, light weight, textured grip, serrations, rear adjustable sights, Tenifer finished slide, under the barrel rails.  Just one observation, when comparing to Turkish handguns, which are cheaper as of now, this baby does not come with a holster in the box, something which the Turkish handguns now have as a mandatory item. That’s quite a mouthful, frankly. But coming to the price its a bit of a downer, as presently it is retailing in Pakistan for Rs 190k plus minus. Other than that I think it s a very good choice for a CC weapon.

  1. It’s a good gun due to presence of both single action and double action modes which is rare in striker fired guns.
