Llama .32 ACP, short review

Hi, I was on the lookout for a Llama chambered in .32 ACP for a long long time. One of cousins had one of these which he gifted! yes you read it right gifted to his friend. In late 70’s Spanish Llama pistols chambered in .32 ACP came to Pakistan in huge numbers. In those days .32 was the ammo of choice here in Pakistan. These semi-auto pistols were available for Rs 300 to 500 then, NIB 🙂 Oh, the good old days! So when a friend called to tell he had found one for me, I told him to get it right away. HS9 (Springfield Armory) Subcompact Review

The HS9 subcompact is a small pistol which packs a bigger punch. When compared in size it is smaller than most subcompacts but has a greater capacity, 16 rounds with mag extension. It has a polymer frame and a forged steel slide. It is a striker fired pistol with grip safety. A safe action trigger coupled with grip safety gives it adequate safety features. However,I believe in manual safety always, nothing wrong with the gun, just my preference. It is made in Croatia, and later Springfield Armory USA made a deal with them and hence it is dubbed as HS9 by Springfield Armory. The handgun is impressive by all standards, very good metallurgy, no tooling marks. It is well balanced and gives a good grip. Comes packed in a plastic box.

CZ Rami 2075 D, pistol review

The CZ Rami 2075 D is an excellent choice when it comes to concealed carry pistols. It is well balanced handgun with good capacity and features. Based on the famous CZ design this gun has decocker only, it is single/double action with a light trigger. It comes with two mags, a 10 rounder and a 14 with mag extension which makes the grip easy to hold. The plastic case has cleaning brush, manual, two mags (double stack) and its initial factory (zeroing) range results. Best of all it comes with true night sights (three dot) that glow in the dark. The pistol being reviewed is 9×19 although Rami also comes in .40 S&W.

To carry or not to carry, that’s the question

Just last week an acquaintance, a man I knew since more than a year, got shot, and died due to bleeding. He got shot in the arm by one of his business partners. In order to protect his privacy I will not share much details about him except that he was over 6 feet tall, in super fit physical condition and above all a gentleman. He went to his business partner’s house that fateful evening, the discussion turned in to a heated debate over some issue and the man got shot in his arm. Help arrived late, and the man died on his way to the hospital due to bleeding.

Taurus 617 , 7 shot revolver – short review

This cute looking snubbie in .357 Magnum is one mean little monster. I have had many a wet dreams about owning one which thanks to my dear friend “Rotor” were realized just a few weeks ago, and has thus added to my subtle collection of handguns. Make no mistakes as the size and looks might be elusive, .357 Magnum carries a lot of stopping power and with 7 rounds is a very good choice for concealed carry. The side break revolver is basic in design and simple to operate, though I would always prefer a safety in a revolver (my preference only). Revolvers or wheelers as they are called make a good choice for SD. Notice the Bianchi IWB all leather holster. A small pictorial review follows…Enjoy!

Baikal MP-442 (Makarov) a very good concealed carry weapon

Baikal MP-442 is a small pistol manufactured by Baikal which is a successor of the legendary Makarov PM pistol which has remained the official side arm of Russian and Warsaw Pact countries. The Baikal MP-442 is small in size, light weight, accurate and reliable handgun. It is my preferred choice for concealed carry, because of a number of advantages over other weapons.
