The Tisas Zigana PX9 arrived few weeks ago. It is a polymer frame, striker fired, 9 mm pistol. Zigana has been known to make good quality pistols, in a budget. Sadly the previous models were copied by the Darra and Kohat road weapons manufacturers. There was one particular model with select fire option that became very popular. I have seen gun makers putting them together, firing them in full auto and showing them off. I guess with the shape change it will take them quite sometime to copy the new model.
Specs:
- Caliber: 9 x 19 mm
- Mag capacity: 15
- Pistol length: 179 mm
- Barrel length: 102 mm
- Pistol height: 145 mm
- Width: 35 mm
- Pistol weight: 700 grams (approx)
- Front Sight: Fixed
- Rear Sight: Fixed
- Safety: Manual Safety
The pistol has simple 2 dot sight system. The back-straps are changeable. Checkering on the grip provides good hold.
Goodies include cleaning material, back-straps, and extra magazine, holster, manual etc.
This is a well designed pistol, that does the job. It has serrations on the slide for a good hold. The pistol has frame safety. It also has an under the barrel rails for attaching flash light or a red dot. I would say the aesthetics are good, and there are lots of stuff in the package. These have hit our markets recently. In the US it retails for around $300 plus minus. Here these guns are selling for Rs 180k plus minus. I feel if the price was in the Rs 125k to 140k range it would have a been a good deal.
